Well, it has finally happened; my sweet girl turned 5 years old last Friday. She is my baby and I am just not ready for her to be 5. Why does 5 seem so much older than 4? This momma is in denial and I think I will stay that way for quite awhile.
A little girl’s 5th birthday deserves a celebration. We decided on a tea party theme for the big event. None of my kiddos are fans of big parties so we invited just 3 other little girls. I thought we should make the party a bit extra special so I pulled out my wedding china for the girls to use. After the table was set, it sure did look grown up and elegant.
The party started with the girls making a tiara craft to wear. From there they ate finger sandwiches and drank apple juice (I offered tea but they politely declined ;-)). Presents were next followed by cupcake decorating and eating. Lastly, the ladies were given teapot shaped sugar cookies as a favor. I hope my sweet girl enjoyed her very special tea party.
I know all mommies think their children are the best but I truly feel blessed to be this little lady’s mom. She is spunky, silly, sassy, and sweet as can be. Hope you enjoy some photos from the party!
** Notice she is holding up all 5 fingers in the first two photos… she has done this in every photo since she turned 5 – silly girl! **
